Japanese developer Kazuya Noshiro has just tweeted a short video demo of an app he's working on with the iPhone X, and the video shows off that his app can accurately track his face, and render it invisible in real time.
The app, according to Noshiro has been developed on Unity, and he's using a fixed camera to record the background which is then overlaid on his face to give it the illusion of being invisible. The whole thing looks both terrifying and awesome at the same time, and kind of reminds me of Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.
While there is no word on when the app might make it on to the App Store, it's obvious that developers are tapping into the potential of iPhone X's accurate face tracking, and Apple ARKit's capabilities to make some really awesome apps.
